Inside the mind of The Max, part 7

31 Mar

Here’s the newest set of questions that have been occupying our every
thought. Let us know if you’re thinking what we’re thinking.

  • Don’t you think Spring Training is about three weeks too long? Whaddya say we kick off pitchers and catchers around March 1 instead?
  • Was anybody really rooting for Melky Cabrera to win the Yankees’ center field job?
  • Is anybody else confused with the Heat retiring Alonzo Mourning’s number? In our mind, that’s akin to the Yankees hanging up Jason Giambi’s number, or the Knicks retiring Larry Johnson’s jersey.
  • Is it rude of us to proclaim the NCAA Women’s Tournament as unwatchable?
  • Is John Calipari the least likable NCAA coach right now? We’re hard-pressed to find somebody we dislike more.
  • Why the heck didn’t Guitar Hero put Bob Knight in his signature sweater for this ad? That would have been funny:

1 – Definitely! March 1 sounds delicious for when pitchers and catchers report. I agree with needing time to scope out the right players for our team but over 40 days is WAY too much.

2 – No. Nobody saw him winning over Brett Gardner. The best of luck to that kid this year though….

3 – No basketball here for me. But, what about Piazza for example — What team is he going to be in the HOF for? Dodgers or Mets?

4 – Not at all. We are men, and we always state that watching girls play sports made for boys is impossible, and it is.

5 – No basketball. No college sports.

6 – They need to find a new way to advertise this game. Isn’t this the third or fourth installment of this commercial? Yes, it’s funny but, re-running the same thing with different people makes America lose interest. Hence, me turning this commercial off every time it comes on…Bob Knight with his signature sweater would have, and should have been his wardrobe though.

LOL, love the Guitar Hero commercial.
About Melky.. ouch. I feel sorry for him. He has a real energetic personality and was turning it up in Spring Training, but Gardner brings a whole new level to the game with his unbelievable speed. It’s unfortunate that Melk had such a horrible year last season, but it’s a new opportunity for Brett. Hope he brings it all year.
