Why is Seattle so excited to welcome back an older version of a guy who was
never able to carry them to a title when he was actually in his prime?

At this point, wouldn’t it be bigger news to reveal players who DO NOT use PEDs, instead of those who do?

Don’t you think that ESPN covering bass fishing makes as much sense as their coverage of the National Spelling Bee? Hey, at least the Bee is entertaining. By the way, neither is a sport.

Don’t you think MLBlogs should slap the franchise tag on Julia? She’s money.

Shouldn’t 2K Sports be embarrassed for putting out that MLB Front Office Manager game? Intellivision baseball is far more entertaining, which isn’t saying much.

Is it OK that we would rather watch the Oscars this Sunday than that Nascar Sprint Cup thingy?

Why the name Michael really spells Trouble

This is about Michael. Any Michael. Maybe even all of the Michaels out there.�

We’ve done our research and we’ve come to one conclusion: people named Michael — except Michael Heller and Julia’s 11-year old son Michael (see the comments) — are causing trouble more often than people with other names. It’s true! OK, maybe it’s not. But we did find a bunch of people named Michael that deserve to be called out.

Protest: Get new wheels, Lance Armstrong!

Lance Armstrong got his one-of-a-kind bike jacked this week, but the perps didn’t know that Armstrong is a Twitter-er. (Just like The Max!) The bike got recovered and everyone was thrilled, especially the Twitter people who now can boast about how great their product is.

Unfortunately, we’re not so happy. You see, when we saw the bike that was recovered we expected it to have rockets on the side or sharp knives for wheel spokes. But it was just a regular bike with two wheels, some pedals, a chain and handlebars. This is why we thought we’d give Lance the opportunity to save a few fans by choosing one of these five new bikes to race from now on.

Which one do you think suits Lance best?

Golf returns next week

Wait, what? Are you tell me they kept playing golf when Tiger was out injured? Noooo, you’re just pulling my leg. There’s no way the PGA allowed those other guys carry the sport while Tiger was out, right?

Hughes, Wilcox coming to New York

Both Larry Hughes and Chris Wilcox have been traded to the New York Knicks. As a result of the timing of the deal, the above-average ballers will now forever be linked… much like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (Brangelina) or Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner/Lopez (Bennifer).

In the vein of these vogue celebrity names, what do you think Hughes and Wilcox’s name would be? We actually know the answer, but are too classy to tell you here.
